Travel: Windmill Zaandam Amsterdam

I have always been fascinated by windmills back in my primary school years. This time I have never imagined to see a real one here in Holland. Welcome to Zaandam Amsterdam! It's a city in the Netherlands in the province of North Holland. It is the main city of the municipality of Zaanstad.
In the Golden Age, Zaandam served as a large milling centre. Thousands of windmills powered saws the were processing Scandinavian wood for shipbuilding and paper industries. One of which we have visited was the Het Jonge Schaap. We were also given the chance to see the inside of the windmill & got a brief knowledge of its mechanics. Outside we enjoyed there hot chocolate milk & fresh herring with bread. Windmills are characteristic of the Dutch landscape and a symbol of the Dutch struggle with water. Holland Windmills - such an unforgettable tourist destination!

Travel: Marken Amsterdam

Marken is a village in the province of North Holland in the Netherlands with a population of 1810 in the municipality of Waterland. The wooden houses of Marken are the tourist attraction popular in Amsterdam. If you're in Marken, you'll have to visit the famous Klompen Shoe Factory (Traditional Clogs) as they remain today in use as protective footwear in agriculture and in some factories and mines. I just love the natural ambience of this place and their picturesque sceneries of this little community. You would love just to spend a day strolling around the their garden landscape and have some picnic along the lakeside or go for sunset watching with a bubbly champagne.

Travel: Berlin Wall

Another tourist destination ticked off my bucket list is no other the Berlin Wall. This historically popular wall in Berlin was a barrier that divided the city from 1961 to 1981. Constructed by the German Democratic Republic, starting on 13 August 1961 and it was opened in November 1981. It came to symbolise the "Iron Curtain" that separated Western Europe and the Eastern Bloc during the Cold War. I enjoyed just walking along the Berlin Wall, looking on all those graffiti arts and learning the historical facts on as to how this wall became the city's main tourist attraction. Will gonna share with you more tourist spot in Berlin on my next blog post to just keep on visiting my blog to all my dear readers!

The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe also known as the "Holocaust Memorial" is Berlin's memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust. This construction which opened in 2005, is covered with 2,711 concrete slabs or "stelae" arranged in a grid pattern on a sloping field that hold the names of all known Jewish holocaust victims.

Fashion: White Wherever

Well with white, what else will you look for. Getting hooked with minimalist style, once you go white, you can never go back! I just couldn't resist white statement shirt and a pair of white sneakers! I can obviously wear it everyday just by adding some style through my bag and snapback that can go for a preppy, sporty or even dapper looks.

I was wearing this during a sunny day at Universal Studios Singapore with friends. I am wearing a shoelace statement shirt from Tangs VivoCity, khaki shorts from Factorie and white sneakers from Nike Sports. I am also wearing snapback from Billabong, tote bag from Factorie and sunglasses from Ray-Ban.

Food: Ponte degil Scalzi

Italian food will never be the same again once you've tried Ponte degil Scalzi of Venice. Imagine that white sauce pasta commonly known to us as Carbonara with that ham and bacon, that melts in your mouth will all the buttery and creaminess on its pasta! And what about the seafood pasta with the freshest shrimps and clams cooked with the right blend of Italian seasonings just perfectly done! And of course their cheese pizza using the best tomato paste, tastiest dough and world class chess to top it off.

I would suggest to skip your diet plan whenever you travel and just have a taste of all the food that you can have, a once in a lifetime culinary experience you shouldn't miss out! If ever you will be in Venice, make sure to have your lunch here at Ponte degil Scalzi for the best dining experience.

Travel: Venice Italy

Separated by canals and connected by bridges, Venice Italy located in the northeastern part of Italy is one of the most visited tourist attraction in Europe, renowned for the beauty of it's setting, architecture & it's artwork. It was a memorable travel experience to finally visit this haven that took me almost 2 hours before it sinked in that I was indeed in Venice. It's like a realistic painting where you can go inside and explore the picturesque canvas of it's beautiful landscape.

Venice Italy is the best tourist destination for me out of all the 19 countries I have visited so far. It was a short yet awesome travel destination of my European tour this year and if you're planning to visit Italy once you've got the Schengen visa approved, please make sure Venice is part of your travel itinerary and I will tell you, it will be the best destination you'll ever make! Travel: Colosseum Italy

Considered as one of the greatest work in the field of engineering and architecture, Colosseum or Coliseum is one of the most famous tourist landmark in Rome Italy. Located in the centre of the city just east of Roman Forum, it is considered as one of the biggest ampitheatre ever built. Known for its historical gladiatorial contest and public spectacles based on Roman mythology, holding audience up to 65,000 it's the best spot for a half day tour to deepen your knowledge on Roman history. It was too late when we visited this place but was still captivating at night that we can't stop taking photos of it. After we walked along the streets of Rome to go for some quick window shopping, gelato hunting, and more pizza & pasta loading. Will definitely go back to this place for more adventures, truly such a magnificent city.

Fashion: Hoodie Weather

Yes! It's about time to take that hoodie out of your locker coz the rainy season has come. Living in a tropical country where all you get will be heatwaves, humidity and unlimited sun rays, it's good to feel that cold vibes from a morning rain and dress up in layers of course. I have a lot of jackets, cardigans and cover ups that I can't wear most of the time, coz I sweat alot for those who knows me well.

I'm wearing this versatile gray hoodie jacket from Pull & Bear and classic denim jeans from Bench. I finish this look with my woven leather sneakers from Pull & Bear as well and classic snapback from Billabong. Stay awesome everyone!

Fashion: When in Rome

If you're gonna visit the Vatican, what rainy weather outfit you can think of? It was an afternoon of excitement when we left Sheraton Roma to Vatican City for a half day tour straight from the airport after our Barcelona trip. Since I got no time to plan for what-to-wear situation, solution for that will be a basic white shirt, rugged denim jeans and black leather jacket for the day. This is such a go-to outfit for me and can repeat this look for several variations too.

The practicality and chicness of using basic fashion pieces like this denim jacket I purchased online, rugged skinny jeans from Pull & Bear and basic V-neck white shirt from Armani Exchange is my kind of style lately. It's pretty basic and simple yet sleek and good to go anywhere you want to, I just love it too much.

We all love Italian food! When it comes to pasta, pizza and risotto, who can't resist an authentic Italian restaurant especially in Rome? Everything in this resto was insanely delicious, not to doubt the Italian food quality as obviously they always use freshest ingredients and every food is done to perfection!

Their coffee was perfect for that rainy afternoon in Rome after our Vatican tour. Before heading down to Coloseum, we had out super late lunch / early dinner at Ristorante Pizzeria Imperiale. We've tried their Seafood Risotto (12.00 €), Lasagna con salsa alla bolognese (8.00 €) and Pizza Capricciosa (10.00 €). It was a perfect Italian dinner experience you have to try!

Travel: Sheraton Roma

Welcome to the third stop of my Europe 2015 tour, yes I've finally made it to Rome Italy! Of all the countries under Schengen visa list, it's the only country that we've decided to visit 3 cities namely, Rome, Venice and Milan. Can't wait to share with you my travel experiences here so let's start this series by sharing our stay at Sheraton Roma.

From Barcelona Spain, we took a 2 hour flight to Leonardo da Vinci International Airport. We took a 20 minute taxi ride going to Sheraton Roma where as SPG member, we treated first class upon arrival. The hotel with busy looking ambience and intricate Italian interiors welcomed us with superb customer service and upon entering the hotel room, the beds were so inviting for an afternoon nap and the bath tub was indeed tempting for some quick bath.

The hotel also comes with 24 hour fitness gym and enticing swimming pool but was not able to experienced it due to time limit of our stay in Rome. We headed straight away to Vatican City tour and went back to hotel so late but we still able to try their SPG member special room where you can access internet, drink various wine and cocktails, smoke in the rooftop area and satistfy your midnight cravings with their selected sweets and pastries. Sheraton Roma surely was one of the best Sheraton hotels I have stayed in all of the countries I have visited so far.
